Music I'd recommend

I like physical media, and have long been a fan of charity shops and Discogs, but for the last decade or so the majority of my music has come from Bandcamp. I like this platform because they sell DRM-free files, pay artists a fair share, and allow you to re-download your library unlimited times.

Here are a few albums that have been on heavy rotation recently:

Ambient

  • Place of Rest by Early Fern
  • Petrichor by Max Loderbauer
  • Jungle/Drum & Bass

  • Liquid Colours by CFCF. Currently obsessed with this. Difficult to describe, it's a blend of lounge/elevator/hold music and classic Jungle, with random sprinkles of Japanese Pop or Bossa Nova. Sounds like a 90s Playstation racing game soundtrack. Big fan.
  • Hip-Hop

  • Jazzbois Goes Blunt by Jazzbois (I feel like this fits more neatly under Hip-Hop than Jazz)
  • House

  • Infra by Patrick Holland
  • Jazz

  • La Saboteuse by Yazz Ahmed
  • Afterglow by Resolution 88. Modern day Head Hunters was the best way I've seen it described.
  • Techno

  • Malm by Acronym
  • Irrbloss by Dorisburg
