Cabbage Fritters

Ingredients

  • a head of Savoy cabbage
  • 2 eggs
  • a few slices of stale bread
  • 6tbsp flour
  • salt and pepper
  • cayenne pepper
  • nutmeg
  • butter

Instructions

Remove the outer leaves and the core of the cabbage.

Bring a pot of water to the boil, add salt and cabbage, give it a good 5 minutes and drain it. Slice cabbage finely.

In the meantime, soak the stale bread and then squeeze out the moisture thoroughly.

In a bowl, combine flour and spices, add the eggs and beat them.

Leave the mixture for 15 minutes, then add cabbage, bread and breadcrumbs, form patties and fry them in oil and/or butter.

Serve with sour cream.
